Who Is Aydan Nix? Meet Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid’s New Half-Sister

Sometimes families grow in the most unexpected ways. That’s exactly what happened to supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid when they found out they had a new half-sister they never knew about. Her name? Aydan Nix.

This isn’t just some distant cousin or long-lost relative. Aydan is now a confirmed part of the Hadid family tree, and her story is as surprising as it is heartwarming.

Let’s get to know her.

How Gigi and Bella Found Out About Aydan

Gigi Hadid, 30, and Bella Hadid, 28, made a heartfelt statement on May 29, 2024. They shared with fans that their father, Mohamed Hadid, had a brief relationship more than two decades ago.

Back in the early 2000s, after Mohamed divorced Yolanda Hadid, he dated a woman named Terri Hatfield Dull. That relationship didn’t last long, but it led to a pregnancy.

Aydan Nix was born and raised in Florida. She grew up believing someone else was her biological father. That man sadly passed away when Aydan was 19.

A few years later, Aydan took a DNA test just out of curiosity. She never expected to uncover a celebrity connection. But her results revealed that she shared a biological link to Gigi, Bella, and their younger brother Anwar.

Getting to Know Aydan’s Life in Florida

Aydan is now 23 years old. She grew up in Orlando, Florida. Her childhood was pretty normal, far from the flashing cameras and runways that her half-sisters are used to.

She lived a quiet life and had no clue about her connection to the Hadids. But even without knowing, Aydan showed early signs of creativity and style.

As a teenager, she delivered pizzas for Domino’s to earn some cash. That hustle reminded people of Bella Hadid, who once worked for $7 an hour at a juice bar in Malibu.

Aydan also spent hours flipping through her mom’s Vogue magazines. She said she was obsessed with the stories and the style. That passion slowly turned into a career goal.

Carving Her Own Fashion Path

Aydan didn’t wait around for anyone to open doors for her. She chased her fashion dreams in her own way.

She started small. First, she interned for a photographer in Orlando. Then, she assisted a stylist in New York City. Later, she worked at Harley’s, a well-known vintage store in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

Fashion became her language. Her obsession with style and storytelling grew stronger.

Eventually, she got accepted to the Parsons School of Design in New York. That’s one of the top schools for fashion and design in the country.

Aydan graduated with a BFA in Integrated Design. Her focus was on fashion communication.

What She’s Done So Far in the Fashion World

According to Aydan’s LinkedIn, she’s been busy building a serious resume.

She’s worked behind the scenes at red carpet events and high-end editorial shoots. She helped stylists with designer clothing, fashion closet organizing, and set styling.

But Aydan hasn’t just helped others. She’s also led projects on her own. She’s directed and styled photo campaigns. She’s created artist books in partnership with up-and-coming creatives.

She’s even conceptualized unique PR events that focus on fashion and innovation.

Her skills don’t stop there. She knows showroom management, vintage fashion curation, and social media marketing. These experiences have helped her understand the fashion industry from both creative and business angles.

How Aydan Feels About Fame

Even though she now knows she’s related to two of the most famous models in the world, Aydan isn’t rushing into the spotlight.

Gigi and Bella said that Aydan is happy to live a private life. She’s not trying to be photographed at Fashion Week or be a star at the Met Gala.

Still, she has spent time with her new siblings. The Hadids said they’ve had open, loving talks as a family. They want to protect and support Aydan as she gets used to this new part of her life.

They also said they’ve already shared fun sister moments. One included jamming out to Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department.

The Big, Blended Hadid Family

The Hadid family has always been a big, blended one.

Gigi, Bella, and Anwar are the children of Mohamed Hadid and Yolanda Hadid. After their divorce, Yolanda married music producer David Foster and spent six years with him before they divorced in 2017.

Mohamed also has two older daughters, Alana and Marielle, from a previous marriage to Mary Butler.

And now Aydan Nix adds another thread to this already colorful tapestry.

Gigi and Bella ended their statement with a beautiful message. They said they’ve “cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family.”

Aydan may not be walking the runways just yet, but she’s already making her mark in fashion. And she’s doing it her way—quietly, creatively, and with heart.
