Families connected to Warrenton Kids Inc. are speaking out after the organization confirmed that a photographer hired to capture this season’s baseball, softball, and t-ball games failed to deliver the photos that parents paid for.
In a public statement posted to Facebook, the youth sports organization said it shares the frustration felt by many parents, noting that the hired photographer has not provided the purchased images or addressed the outstanding orders in any other way.
According to the post, board members have tried reaching the photographer through several different methods since the problem came to light, but those efforts have not led to a resolution.
WKI said it is now looking into every option available to recover the photos or secure refunds for the families involved, while also working toward holding the photographer accountable for services that were paid for but never completed.
Families Asked to Submit Documentation
To help resolve the situation, WKI is asking any parent who purchased photos and never received them to contact their child’s coach with specific details.
This includes the player’s name, their team, the order number if one is available, the date of purchase, the amount paid, and any receipts or confirmation emails tied to the transaction.
Coaches have been asked to pass that information along to the WKI Board, which plans to use it to build a full record of affected families.
The organization says this documentation will support its continued efforts to pursue a resolution on behalf of everyone impacted.
WKI acknowledged that the photos hold sentimental value for families hoping to preserve memories from their children’s season, and the organization apologized for the frustration the situation has caused.
As a group run entirely by volunteers, WKI said it takes seriously the trust families place in it and is committed to working toward a fair outcome for everyone affected.
Community Reaction Grows on Social Media
The Facebook post drew dozens of comments from parents and community members reacting to the situation.
Several expressed frustration over the missing photos and the money already spent, with one commenter calling the situation infuriating and apologizing to the families involved.
Others offered suggestions for how WKI and affected parents might pursue a resolution, including reaching out to the photography company directly through any text or messaging features tied to its business page.
Some commenters also asked which company had been hired for the job, while others tagged friends or family members who had also purchased photos this season to make sure they saw the update.
In a notable response to the post, one local photographer offered to retake the photos for free, acknowledging that organizing the teams again would take effort but offering to make the process quick for the league.
The offer drew appreciation from several commenters following the thread.
As of now, WKI has not announced a timeline for when refunds or replacement photos might be issued, but the organization says it will continue providing updates as more information becomes available.
Parents who purchased photos and have not yet submitted their information are encouraged to do so through their team’s coach as soon as possible so they can be included in the league’s records moving forward.
