Geneva High School Graduate Ethan Conner, 20, of New Hope, Florida, Lawn Care Business Owner and Devoted Son, Passes Away

Ethan Perry Conner of New Hope, Florida, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at just 20 years old. Though his time on earth was brief, the life he built and the people he touched tell the story of someone who packed a lifetime of purpose into two short decades.

Born on February 3, 2006, to Perry and Amy Yarbrough Conner, Ethan grew up to be the kind of young man people remember. He graduated from Geneva High School with the class of 2024, where he spent six years anchoring the offensive line as center for the Geneva Panthers.

He was also active in FFA, competing at both the district and state levels, and forging friendships that his family describes as lifelong bonds and brotherhoods.

Geneva High School shared its grief publicly, saying Ethan was a proud member of the class of 2024 and that he will be missed by all who had the great fortune of knowing him.

The GHS Class of 2024 will serve as honorary pallbearers at his funeral, a tribute to just how deeply he was woven into the fabric of that community.

An Entrepreneur at Heart From the Very Beginning

What set Ethan apart was not just his personality but his drive. At just 15 years old, he started Conner Lawn Service with a single yard.

By the time of his passing, that one yard had grown into a business serving more than 70 properties across the tri-state area. Some weeks meant working all seven days, but those who knew him say he never once complained.

In February 2025, he and his father, Perry, became co-owners of Road Runner Roll-offs, a roll-off dumpster service that quickly grew thanks to Ethan’s dedication and work ethic.

Later that same year, he expanded even further by purchasing an excavator and tractor to take on demolition jobs. People in the community noticed. One woman commented online that Ethan had delivered a dumpster to her just a couple of months before his passing and described him as so helpful.

Another man recalled meeting Ethan in 2023 when he purchased a truck and said he immediately knew the young man had a bright future ahead of him.

Beyond work, Ethan was devoted to the people and things he loved. He was a faithful member of Red Hill United Methodist Church and never passed up an opportunity to serve others.

He enjoyed camping, trips to the lake, and had recently discovered a passion for duck hunting. He loved trucks, spent time fixing them up alongside his dad, and was his sister Baylee’s biggest supporter, traveling to her games and tournaments without hesitation.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, with burial to follow at the Conner Family Cemetery in New Hope.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to Red Hill United Methodist Church, 3104 Highway 2, Bonifay, FL 32425.

Ethan left a legacy in just a short time, and he did it with love and always with the biggest smile.
