Bradley James Breaks Silence: Kelsey Harris Allegedly Fired Shots in Megan Thee Stallion Case, Not Tory Lanez
A stunning twist has emerged in the high-profile Tory Lanez case as Bradley James, the former bodyguard of Kelsey Harris, has reportedly made a confession that could change everything. According to lawyers from Unite the People, a legal advocacy group supporting Lanez, James claims Kelsey Harris was the one who fired the gun the night Megan Thee Stallion was shot — not Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson.
Lanez is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for the 2020 shooting incident that left the music industry divided and fans worldwide in shock. But now, his defense team is pushing back harder than ever, arguing that he was wrongly convicted.
Did Kelsey Harris Pull the Trigger? New Claims Shake the Case
Unite the People’s legal team revealed on Wednesday that Bradley James submitted an affidavit stating he saw Kelsey Harris holding the gun during the altercation. Attorney Walter Roberts said James witnessed Harris firing at Megan three times, and that Lanez attempted to stop her by grabbing her arm, which caused the gun to discharge two more times.
“Mr. Peterson never shot anybody,” Roberts said firmly. “He never even touched the weapon. This aligns with testimony from Mr. Sean Kelly, the only independent witness at the trial, who said he saw two women fighting.”
Gianno Caldwell, also representing the Unite the People team, argued that Lanez didn’t receive a fair trial. “There was bias, media pressure, and political interference,” he said. He also pointed out that the gun used had unknown DNA on it, yet only Lanez’s DNA was tested.
Roberts further noted that three people were in the vehicle that night, but authorities focused solely on Lanez. “Why weren’t the others tested?” he asked. “It raises serious questions about how this case was handled from day one.”
Viral Twist: Why Bradley James Came Forward Now
James, who was working as both driver and bodyguard during the time of the incident, reportedly wasn’t under any confidentiality agreement. Unite the People says he overheard critical conversations and could no longer remain silent.
“He told us his conscience couldn’t allow him to let an innocent man stay behind bars for something he didn’t do,” a Unite the People spokesperson said. “He knew what he saw, and he chose to speak up now.”
The group did not release further personal details about James, citing safety concerns and legal strategy. However, they emphasized that this testimony could be vital in reopening the case or launching an appeal for Lanez.
These revelations come just days after reports surfaced that Tory Lanez had been stabbed 14 times in prison, requiring immediate hospitalization. His lawyers are now requesting he not be returned to the facility due to safety concerns.
