The announcement, shared on social media by Continuum WC, described her as one of their “biggest supporters,” prompting an outpouring of condolences from teammates, community members, and football organizations across the country.
Friends who knew Merry personally painted a vivid picture of the kind of person she was. Amanda Leah Filli remembered her as “a sweetheart and a fantastic Mom,” while Joe Lockrow Sr. called her “a great lady and a fighter.”
