Bobbi Althoff Says Goodbye to ‘The Really Good Podcast’ After Viral Success

After just two and a half years, internet sensation Bobbi Althoff is officially signing off from The Really Good Podcast, the offbeat and wildly popular show that helped catapult her from TikTok mom advice-giver to a full-blown viral star interviewing A-listers in painfully awkward silence.

“Guys, I don’t think there’s any really good way to say this, but this is the last episode of The Really Good Podcast,” Althoff said in a black funeral dress in Thursday’s final episode. “I think I should take my glasses off to say it, too.”

In true Bobbi fashion, she followed that heartfelt farewell with a hilariously off-key rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”, standing beside her sister Lexi — her silent, ever-present sidekick and comedic foil.

From TikTok to Tinseltown

Althoff’s journey began with relatable mom content on TikTok. But in a sharp comedic pivot, she launched The Really Good Podcast and quickly built a unique brand around her deadpan, awkward Valley Girl persona. Her humor style often left guests confused, cringing, or cracking up — sometimes all at once.

What set her apart was her boldness. She asked unfiltered questions, played up not knowing who her guests were, and made A-listers squirm — all while doing oddball activities like painting with Rainn Wilson, grilling Nick Cannon on the names of his 12 kids (he failed), or having a quiet tennis match with Bobby Lee.

The real breakout moment? Her surreal and intimate interview with Drake, filmed in his bed, which went viral and amassed a jaw-dropping 1 billion views and 300 million likes across platforms. Nobody could believe she pulled it off. Her explanation? She simply DMed him.

Not Just Jokes — But Also Genius

The show wasn’t just for laughs — it was a marketing playground, too. One standout moment was her SXSW 2024 stunt involving actor Michael Cera, where she pushed the idea that he created skincare brand CeraVe. Spoiler alert: he didn’t — it was a paid promotion that worked brilliantly.

Awards and Acclaim

Despite its relatively short run, The Really Good Podcast made a major impact. It regularly topped podcast charts, drew comparisons to Zach Galifianakis’ Between Two Ferns, and even earned Best Emerging Podcast at the 2024 iHeart Podcast Awards.

In 2024, Althoff also signed a high-profile exclusive partnership deal with Studio71, covering ad sales, distribution, and marketing — signaling her growing influence in both digital and traditional media circles.

Going Out on Her Own Terms

Why end it now? Surprisingly, it’s not burnout, budget cuts, or backlash. Althoff simply feels it’s time.

“This podcast started off with just a girl with a dream to make more money,” she joked. “I’m proud of the accomplishments I’ve had … It has been a dream, every second of it.”

No word yet on what’s next, though with her loyal fanbase and viral track record, another creative pivot feels inevitable. For now, she’ll continue to post on Instagram and TikTok, and fans can rewatch episodes on YouTube.

One Last Laugh

Ending on her own terms, Bobbi Althoff’s final podcast was equal parts weird, funny, and weirdly touching — just like the show itself.

Whatever she does next, one thing’s for sure: it won’t be boring.
