Barnegat, NJ Father Scott Speidel Passes Away Suddenly, Leaving Behind Wife, Amanda, and Two Young Children; Community Donates

Scott Speidel was a familiar and cherished presence in Barnegat, New Jersey. His son Gunnar, age 7, plays on the Junior Minors Mets with Barnegat Little League, and the organization was among the first to spread the word following his passing.

“Barnegat Little League lost a member of the family this past week,” the league shared on Facebook, urging the community to donate or share the fundraiser to help ease the burden on the Speidel family.

Scott is survived by his wife, Amanda, and their two children, Gunnar and Amelia, age 11. By all accounts, he was the kind of father and husband who made his family the center of everything he did.

For nearly 15 years, he and Amanda built a life filled with camping trips, family vacations, and countless everyday moments that his children will carry with them forever.
