Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet Spark Breakup Rumours After Birthday Snub
Fans are buzzing with speculation that Hollywood’s “it” couple, Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, may have called it quits after two years together.
The pair, known for keeping their relationship private, didn’t appear to celebrate Jenner’s 28th birthday together over the weekend — and haven’t been seen in public for more than a month.
Jenner marked the occasion by posting a series of sultry Instagram photos in a black bikini, glass of red wine in hand, at her Los Angeles mansion. While it’s not unusual for the couple to avoid sharing posts about each other, it was Jenner’s choice of music on her Instagram stories that caught fans’ attention.
One track was Jeff Buckley’s Lover, You Should’ve Come Over, which features emotional lyrics like: Maybe I’m too young / To keep good love from going wrong / Broken down and hungry for your love / With no way to feed it / Where are you tonight, child? / You know how much I need it.
Another was the 1972 Labby Siffre song Crying Laughing Loving Lying, which reflects on heartbreak: Crying never did nobody no good no how / That’s why I don’t cry / Loving never did me no good no how, no how / That’s why I can’t love you now.
Meanwhile, Chalamet posted a black-and-white photo of boxing legend Muhammad Ali on his Instagram stories, writing “Dream big” over the image. The post reportedly ties into his upcoming film Marty Supreme and was shared the same day as Jenner’s birthday.
From Rumours to Red Carpet
The romance rumours began in April 2023, when Jenner’s car was spotted at the Wonka star’s home. Days later, the two were filmed kissing in the crowd at the US Open.
They went on to be photographed together on several occasions, with Jenner accompanying Chalamet to multiple award season events earlier this year — including the Golden Globes in January and the Oscars. In May, they made their official red carpet debut as a couple at the David di Donatello Awards in Rome, where Chalamet received the David for Cinematic Excellence honorary award.
Separate Appearances Fuel Speculation
In June, Chalamet was noticeably absent from Jeff Bezos’ lavish wedding to Lauren Sánchez in Venice, where Jenner attended with her sisters Kendall Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, and Kim Kardashian.
Neither Jenner nor Chalamet has commented on the breakup rumours, leaving fans to piece together clues from their social media posts — and wonder if one of Hollywood’s most-watched romances has quietly come to an end.
