Brandi Glanville Suffers Chemical Burns After Using Hair Removal Cream on Her Face
Brandi Glanville, best known from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is in the spotlight again, but this time it’s for a rather painful reason. The 52-year-old reality star revealed she got chemical burns on her face after using Nair, a popular hair removal cream, in an attempt to get rid of what she believes is a facial parasite.
In a TikTok video posted on Sunday, Glanville appeared with visible redness on her face and shared the incident with her usual sense of humor. “I know I look attractive,” she joked, before adding, “Good news, you don’t have to spend a lot of money on peels and lasers anymore.”
She said she used Nair as a last-ditch effort to remove a parasite she has long believed is living under her skin. Referring to the parasite as “Caroline,” Glanville hinted it could be a reference to her former Real Housewives co-star Caroline Manzo. The two were involved in a highly publicized fallout during filming for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco back in January 2023. Manzo had accused Glanville of sexual misconduct, which both have since denied. The incident led to both women leaving the show mid-filming.
In the TikTok video, Glanville claimed the Nair actually moved the parasite to a different area of her face. “Nair is the fountain of youth, I figured it out,” she joked. “But I overdid it… seven minutes, don’t do it.”
This isn’t the first time Glanville has talked about her mysterious health struggle. In December 2024, she told Entertainment Tonight that she believed she contracted a parasite during the Morocco trip. She described unsanitary food conditions on set, including meat being left out for hours. About six months later, she started experiencing severe facial swelling and even began losing teeth.
Despite visiting multiple doctors, Glanville said she got no clear answers. She ended up spending over $70,000 on non-invasive medical treatments and was put on IV antibiotics that temporarily reduced the swelling, but the costs were unsustainable. “I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize. I don’t go out,” she told ET at the time.
While her attempt to self-treat using Nair didn’t go as planned, Glanville continues to be open about her health journey. Whether the so-called parasite is real or still under investigation, one thing is clear—Brandi Glanville isn’t afraid to speak up, even when it gets a little messy.
