The festival officially opens on Saturday, June 21, with a screening of Gladiator II at Fort Ricasoli. The film was partly shot in Malta in 2023 and gave jobs to many Maltese and Gozitan crew members. In total, there will be 55 film screenings throughout the festival, which runs until June 29.
