YES Announces The Fragile Tour 2025: Full U.S. Dates and Album Performance Details

Get ready, prog rock fans — YES is hitting the road again. The legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band has officially announced “The Fragile Tour 2025, The Album Series” set to roll out across the U.S. this fall. The tour kicks off October 1 in Wallingford, Connecticut and wraps up on November 16 in Reno, Nevada.

Performing ‘Fragile’ in Full, Plus Timeless Classics

This is not just any YES tour. This time, the band is performing their iconic 1971 album Fragile in its entirety, alongside other classic tracks from their rich discography. Fans can expect to hear hits like “Roundabout,” “Long Distance Runaround” and “Heart Of The Sunrise” just the way they were first introduced decades ago — but with modern energy and visual flair.

Fragile marked a turning point for the band and was their first to feature the artistic stylings of Roger Dean, who would go on to shape the visual identity of YES albums and tours for years to come.

The Lineup Behind the Magic

YES today is fronted by guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Geoff Downes, vocalist Jon Davison, bassist Billy Sherwood, and drummer Jay Schellen. While there are no founding members remaining from the band’s original 1968 lineup, Howe, who joined in 1970, continues to carry the torch. He’s been a key creative force through many of the band’s artistic evolutions.

Sherwood, the handpicked successor to the late bassist Chris Squire, and Downes, who’s been associated with YES since 1980, bring deep-rooted legacy and authenticity to the current lineup. Jon Davison has been the band’s frontman since 2012 and fits in seamlessly with YES’s spiritual, melodic style. Jay Schellen took over full-time drumming duties following the passing of longtime member Alan White.

Steve Howe reflected on Fragile and its unique structure, saying, “All the band’s albums had a unique feel and approach. After The Yes Album, so many things came together, with Eddie Offord steering the proceedings. While the band focused on only four main songs with full arrangements, each of us wrote and designed a solo piece, which was Bill’s great idea.”

That oddball yet innovative structure — blending group dynamics with individual creativity — became one of the key aspects that pushed YES beyond the rock norm. Howe added, “It gave us confidence, further than our own in-stock belief, we’d crafted this unusual but noticeable musical twist to rock and what later became prog.”

Visuals Meet Sound: Roger Dean’s A.I. Enhanced Art

The 2025 tour will also feature a fully immersive visual experience, including a video wall that will display A.I.-treated artwork by Roger Dean. This brings a futuristic vibe to Dean’s already otherworldly style and further ties YES’s sonic identity to its iconic visual brand.

Dean’s contributions to YES’s legacy can’t be overstated. From album covers to stage design, his visuals have helped define the aesthetic of the band since the early ‘70s. His art will also be available for purchase at the merch tables throughout the tour.

“Roger was and is quintessential to the look of YES,” says Howe. “He’s still creating great paintings and design — he has no competition.”
