Tyler, the Creator Confirms New Album ‘Don’t Tap the Glass’ Drops Monday

Tyler, the Creator is back with big news. The Grammy-winning rapper and producer has officially announced his ninth studio album, titled “Don’t Tap the Glass”, set for release on Monday, July 21. After a week of cryptic hints and unexpected merch updates, fans now have confirmation — and excitement is building fast.

The announcement came in true Tyler fashion. On Friday evening, his Golf Wang website updated with new merchandise including vinyl, tees, and caps, all branded with the upcoming album’s name. Fans had already been speculating all week after Tyler teased a major reveal for Monday, though many weren’t sure if it would be an album, a single, or something else entirely.

Then, during his live performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center Friday night, Tyler took the mystery out of it. He shouted the album title while on stage, and fans quickly noticed a show installation that recreated the album cover, making it clear that the rollout was in full swing.

Following Up on ‘Chromakopia’

“Don’t Tap the Glass” follows 2023’s “Chromakopia”, a surprise release that dropped just two weeks after it was first teased. That project featured Doechii, Childish Gambino, GloRilla, and Lil Wayne, and launched a worldwide tour that’s still going strong.

While on the road, Tyler dropped the “Noid” music video — the first full single from Chromakopia — starring Ayo Edebiri as a fan losing her mind at meeting him. It was weird, funny, and everything fans love about his style.

What’s Next on Tour

Tyler is wrapping up his four-night stay in New York and will continue the Chromakopia Tour across North America before heading to Australia, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand. He’s expected to close out the tour with two final shows in the Philippines on September 20 and 21 at the Araneta Coliseum.

Alongside the tour, he’s still collaborating with other artists. He recently appeared on Clipse’s new album Let God Sort Em Out with a feature on the track “P.O.V.” During a recent concert, Tyler paid tribute to the legendary duo, pulling out a vinyl copy of their debut LP to share with fans.

With Don’t Tap the Glass just around the corner, Tyler, the Creator proves once again that he’s always thinking a few steps ahead. Whether it’s music, fashion, or visuals, he knows how to keep fans guessing. All eyes are on Monday.
