Tom Llamas Family: Meet His Wife and Three Kids Malena, Juliette, and Thomas
Tom Llamas has a busy life on screen, but at home, he’s just “Dad.” The 45-year-old journalist is now stepping into a huge role as anchor of NBC Nightly News. At the same time, he’ll still host Top Story with Tom Llamas on NBC News NOW.
Balancing two major jobs isn’t easy. But as a father of three, Llamas knows a thing or two about multitasking.
Let’s take a closer look at the three children he shares with his wife, Jennifer Llamas.
Malena Llamas, Born 2013
Malena is Tom and Jennifer’s oldest child. She turned 11 in March 2024, and her dad celebrated with a sweet post on Instagram.
It was her “golden birthday,” and Malena looked thrilled in the photos. She wore a birthday crown and smiled beside a huge ice cream dessert.
Tom also included other special moments in the post. One showed her dressed up for Halloween. Another showed her standing on stage after a school performance.
Malena has even made an appearance on NBC Nightly News: Kids Edition, the special segment that was once hosted by Lester Holt. She seems confident in front of the camera, just like her dad.
Juliette Llamas, Born 2015
Juliette is the Llamas family’s middle child. She made headlines in her own small way in June 2024 when Tom shared a beautiful moment from her First Communion.
In the pictures, Juliette wore a simple white dress and headband. She looked peaceful and proud, wearing a gold religious medal.
Tom also posted a video from the church. It showed Juliette walking down the aisle as the children sang “We Are the Light of the World.”
But Juliette isn’t just graceful in church. Her dad also shared videos of her gymnastics skills. One clip shows her doing an impressive floor routine, showing her strength and control.
Thomas Llamas, Born 2017
Youngest of the three, Thomas is full of energy and personality. In October 2024, Tom wrote a heartfelt essay for Men’s Health about their bond over music.
Growing up, Tom and his father connected through Cuban music. Now, he’s passing that love on to Thomas. Even if it means playing Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” in the school drop-off line.
Thomas and Tom are big Yankees fans. But that hasn’t stopped them from traveling to Citi Field, where they’ve filmed segments for Nightly News: Kids Edition.
Whether it’s music, sports, or news, it’s clear that Tom is passing on more than just his career passion to his kids. He’s making lasting memories with all three.
