Rebel Wilson is no stranger to comedy, but her latest action film Bride Hard came with an unexpected twist. While promoting the movie, Rebel opened up about a serious on-set accident that led to emergency plastic surgery.

She was filming a fight scene when it all went wrong. Rebel said a gun accidentally hit her in the face during one of the action takes. It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t dramatic acting. It was real.

“My nose got split open”

The Pitch Perfect star didn’t hold back as she recalled the moment. “It was just a freak accident,” she told Access Hollywood. “My nose got split open.” What made it worse? This happened on her very last night of filming. Talk about terrible timing.

She was rushed off the set by ambulance. And because of the damage, a plastic surgeon had to be called in. Rebel said if they hadn’t acted quickly, she could have been permanently disfigured.

Thankfully, the emergency care did the trick. Rebel shared that she got stitches from the surgeon, and the results were amazing. “You can’t tell now,” she said with relief. “Really, you can’t tell.”
