Horry County Police Department detectives are asking the public for help locating Jack Pressley Bond, a 32-year-old man who has not been seen since July 9, 2026.
The case has drawn significant attention on social media, with the missing persons advocacy page Missing People In America sharing details alongside HCPD’s official post.
Bond is described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and around 185 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last known to be at his residence in the 100 block of Rocko Drive in the Myrtle Beach area of Horry County.
Vehicle Discovered Across County Lines
The most significant lead in the case so far is the discovery of Bond’s vehicle, a silver 2017 Toyota Camry bearing South Carolina license plate QFY659.
The car was found on the evening of July 9 in the 3000 block of East Palmetto Street, also known as U.S. Highway 76, in Florence County, a considerable distance from his Myrtle Beach home.
Investigators have highlighted a distinctive feature that could help anyone trying to identify the car. A Pink Floyd bumper sticker, printed in white lettering, is affixed to the lower right corner of the rear windshield.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen the Camry in that stretch of Florence County on July 9, or who has any information connected to Bond’s disappearance, to come forward.
The gap between where Bond was last known to be and where his car turned up has fueled speculation among commenters online, though police have not released any additional details about what may have happened between his last sighting at home and the vehicle’s discovery on Palmetto Street.
Community Response and Ongoing Search
The case has spread quickly online, with the Missing People In America Facebook page reporting that the post had been shared in communities as far away as Albany, New York, and Ohio.
Dozens of commenters have offered prayers for Bond’s safe return, while others have shared possible sightings, including one commenter who said she saw a car matching the description on Highway 905 in the days before he was reported missing.
Some commenters have raised questions about how someone could disappear given the prevalence of security cameras and cell phone tracking in the area, though no further confirmed information has been released by investigators.
The Horry County Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is leading the inquiry and is asking anyone with information to call 843 915 8477. Bond’s case has also been logged with Missing People in America’s national database.
Anyone with knowledge of Bond’s whereabouts or who may have seen the silver Camry in Florence County on July 9 is encouraged to contact investigators immediately.
