Leanna Perry Identified as Drunk Passenger in Viral Southwest Airlines Flight Meltdown
Leanna Perry, a 32-year-old woman from New York City, has gone viral for all the wrong reasons. A video of her mid-air meltdown on a Southwest Airlines flight is making rounds on the internet. What started as a regular flight out of LaGuardia Airport turned into a full-blown spectacle right before takeoff.
According to reports from the Port Authority Police Department, Perry was heavily intoxicated. Her behavior quickly turned violent. She grabbed a female passenger by the hair while shouting insults, calling her a “fat a** b**ch.”
Passengers nearby were stunned. One person can be heard in the clip telling her, “Let go of her hair.” But Perry insisted she wasn’t even touching it, despite having a clear grip.
Violence and Insults on Board
As crew members and fellow passengers stepped in to stop the chaos, Perry began kicking them. She hurled more insults, mocking someone’s boyfriend in a crude rant. “Your boyfriend’s d**k is like 2 inches big,” she screamed, followed by, “It’s embarrassing. I’m so sorry about your boyfriend.”
Even as her hands were restrained with zip ties, she continued shouting. At one point, she dropped between seats and claimed she couldn’t breathe. The situation escalated until she was escorted off the plane.
Arrest and Response
After being removed, Perry was taken to a nearby hospital and later handed over to the NYC Department of Corrections. Authorities confirmed the charges included aggravated assault.
Southwest Airlines responded quickly. A spokesperson confirmed that the passenger was denied boarding and praised their staff for how they handled the situation.
The incident has sparked fresh conversations about in-flight behavior and the growing number of alcohol-related disruptions during travel.
