The Indianapolis community is grieving after the passing of Tony Cleveland, a beloved local figure, rapper, and community presence who died on June 3, 2026, due to health complications. Perhaps the most emotional tribute came from Burr Pettiford, who shared that he and Tony had been friends for 32 years, longer than most people knew. “Our mommies knew each other before we was born,” he wrote.
