Greg Olsen Highlights Family Bonding at Tight End University as Taylor Swift Joins the Fun

Tight End University may sound like it’s all drills and film sessions, but the truth is, it’s got a big heart. It’s about community. It’s about family. And that was crystal clear on Monday night in Nashville.

Started in 2021 by Travis Kelce, George Kittle, and Greg Olsen, TEU has grown way beyond just being a skills camp for NFL tight ends. What began as a group of 50 guys looking to sharpen their tools in the off-season has now evolved into something much bigger. It’s a place where athletes show up not just with their cleats, but with their loved ones too.

Taylor Swift and the Power of Support

This year’s TEU saw a surprise that took the internet by storm. Taylor Swift showed up hand-in-hand with Travis Kelce at the welcome party. But she wasn’t the only significant other there. The camp had turned into a family affair. Wives, girlfriends, and even kids were part of the experience.

For Swift, it wasn’t about making a flashy appearance. She was there to support Kelce, just like Kara Olsen was there for Greg, and Claire Kittle for George. It wasn’t a red carpet. It was a community celebration.

Olsen Breaks It Down

Greg Olsen spoke to Fox News Digital about what makes this whole event special. Sure, the on-field work matters. But the people standing behind the players matter just as much.

Olsen said, “There were guys who came five years ago, maybe single or just dating. Now they’ve got wives, they’ve got kids.”

He explained how TEU has become a place where you don’t just track growth in yards and touchdowns. You track life. From teammates to dads. From boyfriends to husbands. And that shared growth builds lasting connections.

Kids Running, Coaches Teaching, Everyone Learning

The vibe wasn’t stiff or over-structured. Kids were running around Vanderbilt’s field alongside pro athletes. It wasn’t chaos. It was joy. Olsen’s own children joined in, adding to the atmosphere.

Players like Dallas Goedert talked about the benefits of learning in such a unique setting. He said he loves how every tight end views the game differently. Picking up insights from Travis or George is like adding tools to your personal playbook.

Evan Engram of the Broncos called it a “beautiful and very advantage-gaining event.” He said it’s about purpose and passing wisdom forward. Not just catching passes.

Wives and Girlfriends Are the Real MVPs

Peter Raskin, one of TEU’s founding business partners, gave some insight into how the event works behind the scenes. Out of 80 players who attended this year, around 50 brought their significant others.

But they weren’t just tagging along. They had a full experience planned at the Thompson Hotel. Wellness sessions, massages, cold plunges, brunch outings, and shopping trips were all on the schedule. These women weren’t observers. They were participants in their own right.

Claire Kittle has been a big part of building this family side of TEU. She makes sure wives and girlfriends feel included, welcomed, and celebrated.

As Raskin put it, “The wives make it go.” And it’s true. Without that support, most of these guys wouldn’t be able to step away for three days in the off-season.

More Than Just a Camp

TEU started as a training summit. But it’s turned into a full-blown movement. A place where careers are shaped and friendships are built. Where players become mentors. And where love and loyalty are just as present as helmets and jerseys.

It’s no surprise that someone like Taylor Swift felt right at home. Because TEU, at its core, is about showing up for the people who matter. Whether you’re running routes or cheering from the sidelines, it’s all part of the same game.
