Interactive and PlaySide Studios are teaming up to bring Westeros to life in a whole new way—with a real-time strategy PC game titled Game of Thrones: War for Westeros. The game was announced during Summer Game Fest in Los Angeles and is slated to release sometime in 2026.

This marks a major shift for the franchise in the gaming world. Up until now, Game of Thrones has mostly been used for mobile spin-offs. But this time, it’s a full-scale, PC-focused experience that gives players more control than ever before.
