Gal Gadot Net Worth: From Miss Israel to Hollywood’s Wonder Woman

When you hear the name Gal Gadot, your mind probably jumps straight to her iconic portrayal of Wonder Woman. But Gadot’s rise to the top of Hollywood isn’t just about capes, lassoing villains, and saving the world. It’s about grit, versatility, and some surprising moves that have built her into one of the most bankable stars today.

As of 2025, the Israeli actress and model boasts an impressive net worth of $40 million. Not bad for someone who once made headlines for only earning $300,000 for her first outing as Wonder Woman. (Don’t worry, she definitely got a raise after that.)

Early Days: From Petah Tikva to Pageants

Born on April 30, 1985, in Petah Tikva, Israel, Gadot, now 39, seemed destined for greatness from the jump. Her Hebrew name literally translates to “waves on the riverbank”—pretty fitting for someone who’s made ripples worldwide.

Before she was dazzling audiences on the big screen, she was competing in pageants and breaking barriers. At 18, Gadot snagged the Miss Israel crown in 2004 and went on to represent her country at Miss Universe in Ecuador. But unlike some models who seamlessly move into acting, Gadot took a detour that helped shape her career in unexpected ways.

Military Service and Modeling Hustle

In Israel, military service is mandatory, and Gadot wasn’t exempt. She served two years as a combat instructor in the Israeli Defense Forces, which later played a big role in landing her early action-heavy film gigs. After leaving the military, she dove into modeling full-time, landing campaigns with major brands like Miss Sixty, Gucci, Huawei, and even Captain Morgan.

By the time 2020 rolled around, Gadot was already the face of Smartwater, replacing Jennifer Aniston, and gracing the covers of heavy-hitters like Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and FHM.

The Leap Into Hollywood

Gadot initially set her sights on becoming a lawyer, attending IDC Herzliya College to study law and international relations. But fate—and Hollywood—had other plans. After narrowly missing out on becoming a Bond Girl in Quantum of Solace, Gadot landed her breakout role as Gisele Yashar in Fast & Furious (2009). Her military background helped sell her action-star credibility, and she even performed her own stunts.

But everything changed in 2016 when Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Despite being a supporting role in a superhero-packed film, critics and fans alike agreed—Gadot absolutely stole the show.

Wonder Woman & The Rise to A-List Status

Her first standalone Wonder Woman film hit theaters in 2017 and became a box office juggernaut, raking in nearly $822 million globally on a $150 million budget. It was also the highest-grossing film directed by a solo female director at the time. Gadot’s take on the iconic heroine was tough, tender, and instantly beloved.

Fast forward a few sequels and a cameo in Justice League, and Gadot’s star was cemented. Not to mention, she was now commanding $10 million per film and earning mega endorsement deals.

In 2020, she took home a staggering $20 million paycheck for her role in Netflix’s blockbuster Red Notice, opposite Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds. That performance helped her climb into the list of the top five highest-paid actresses in the world that year.

Beyond Acting: Producing & Entrepreneurship

Like many A-listers, Gadot didn’t stop at acting. She and her husband, real estate developer Yaron Varsano, founded a production company called Pilot Wave. Together, they plan to co-produce projects that align with Gadot’s vision as both a performer and storyteller.

And speaking of savvy business moves, the couple also sold a boutique hotel in Tel Aviv to billionaire Roman Abramovich for a reported $26 million. Not too shabby!

Real Estate & Personal Life

Gal and Yaron also snapped up some luxury properties, including a $5 million oceanfront condo in Malibu and a $5.6 million home in the Hollywood Hills. They split their time between Israel and the U.S., raising their three daughters while juggling Gadot’s blockbuster schedule.

The Wonder Woman Who’s Grounded

Despite her wealth and fame, Gadot remains down-to-earth. She’s been candid about pay inequality in Hollywood, her struggles balancing motherhood with fame, and staying connected to her Israeli roots.

And while not every role she takes is superhero-related, her impact off-screen has been just as powerful. Gadot was even named a UN Honorary Ambassador for the Empowerment of Women and Girls—though the title sparked debate and was later retracted due to concerns about Wonder Woman’s portrayal in pop culture.
