Bret Baier Goes Viral for Rapping “Rapper’s Delight” at Outdoor Party

Bret Baier just showed a side of himself that no one saw coming. The longtime FOX News host of Special Report has gone viral after being filmed performing “Rapper’s Delight” by The Sugarhill Gang. And he crushed it.

The video, which appears to be from an outdoor party, shows Baier rapping the iconic 1979 hit with a live band behind him. And he didn’t miss a beat. The crowd was into it, and honestly, so was the internet.

Social media gives props to “Double B”

Even critics couldn’t deny the talent. One user wrote, “That is a talent I would never have guessed coming from him. I’ve got my opinions with him, but that’s impressive!”

Another added, “Perfect cadence, nailed the delivery.” One person even joked about how many drinks it might’ve taken to see that side of Baier.

Some have started calling him “Double B,” and others wondered if his FOX colleague Greg Gutfeld had seen the performance yet. Fans are already waiting to hear a joke or two about it on Gutfeld’s show.

Bret even customized the lyrics

What made the performance even more fun was Baier’s nod to his FOX News show right in the middle of the rap. He improvised on the spot with:

“That’s right America, we love you. Fox News Channel, you should watch. 6pm, Special Report. It’s really good, very fair, very balanced, very fair. Hey! Always live!”

It’s not every day you see a journalist drop rhymes about fair reporting, but Bret did it with full confidence. The crowd responded with cheers, and even the band was visibly impressed.

Grok calls it recent, fans call it iconic

The video’s exact date isn’t clear. But Elon Musk’s AI bot, Grok, flagged the video as “recent and not widely reported.” That changed quickly, though, once it started making the rounds Saturday morning.

Now it’s all over social media, with people praising Baier for going all-in and having a blast. He didn’t just perform. He owned it.

Special Report with Bret Baier airs weekdays at 6 PM ET on FOX News. And apparently, it now comes with bonus entertainment.
