Jack Osbourne Slams Roger Waters For Insulting His Late Father Ozzy: “Pathetic and Out of Touch”

The music world is still reeling from the loss of Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away at his Buckinghamshire home on July 22 at the age of 76. Tributes have poured in from across the globe, with artists like Oasis and Coldplay honouring him on stage. But former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters has sparked outrage with his harsh comments about the late rock icon—prompting a furious response from Ozzy’s son, Jack Osbourne.

What Did Roger Waters Say About Ozzy?

Speaking in an interview with The Independent Ink, Waters dismissed Ozzy’s musical legacy in scathing fashion. “Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him in his whatever that state that he was in his whole life. We’ll never know. The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a fuck,” he said.

He went further, mocking Ozzy’s reality TV show The Osbournes: “Although he was all over the TV for hundreds of years, with his idiocy and nonsense. The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a fuck.”

Waters didn’t stop there, taking aim at Black Sabbath as well: “I don’t care about Black Sabbath, I never did. I have no interest in biting the heads of chickens or whatever they do. I couldn’t care less, you know.”

How Did Jack Osbourne Respond?

Jack Osbourne wasted no time in firing back. Posting on social media, he unleashed a fiery message aimed directly at Waters:
“Hey Roger Waters fuck you. How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bullshit in the press. My father always thought you were a cunt — thanks for proving him right.”

He ended his message with the blunt hashtag: “#FuckRogerWaters.”

What Was Ozzy’s Opinion on Pink Floyd?

Despite Jack revealing his father’s private opinion of Waters, Ozzy himself had spoken warmly about Pink Floyd’s music in the past. He once said, “The Floyd made good albums; I don’t think they ever made a bad one.”

Kelly Osbourne Also Defends Her Father

Jack isn’t the only Osbourne child defending their late father. Just last week, Kelly Osbourne clashed with WWE wrestler Becky Lynch after Lynch used Ozzy’s death to rile up a Birmingham crowd. Playing the villain, Lynch told fans:
“I’m not wrestling in Birmingham. The only good thing that came out of here died a month ago. But in fairness to Ozzy Osbourne, he had the good sense to move to LA, a proper city. Because if I lived in Birmingham, I’d die too.”

Kelly fired back on Instagram, calling Lynch a “disrespectful dirtbag” and adding, “Birmingham would not piss on you if you were on fire.”

A Legacy Still Revered

While Waters’ comments have caused controversy, the outpouring of love and respect from fans and fellow musicians shows just how deeply Ozzy Osbourne’s legacy is cherished. The “Prince of Darkness” may be gone, but his music and influence on rock and metal remain untouchable.
