Liver King Arrested in Austin After Joe Rogan Call-Out: Here’s What Happened
Brian Johnson, better known as the “Liver King,” was arrested in Austin this week. According to Travis County Jail records, he’s facing a charge of Terroristic Threat, which is a Class B Misdemeanor in Texas.
Johnson built a massive following online by promoting ancestral living, raw meat diets, and primal workouts. But this time, it’s not a raw liver video making headlines. It’s a jail mugshot.
Instagram Video Sparks Trouble
On June 23, Johnson posted a bold video on Instagram. In it, he directly called out Joe Rogan. He said, “Joe Rogan, I’m calling you out, my name’s Liver King. Man to man, I’m picking a fight with you… I have no training in Jiu-jitsu, you’re a black belt… but I’m picking a fight with you.”
The video sounded like a challenge. But to authorities, it might have crossed a line.
Caught on Camera
Hours later, another video surfaced. This one showed a man, believed to be Johnson, wearing a burgundy hoodie and pants, handcuffed, and being placed into a police vehicle. The arrest was real. The buzz online only grew louder.
Right now, APD hasn’t confirmed who the alleged threat was aimed at. There’s no public attorney listed for Johnson yet either. More details will likely unfold in the coming days.
But for now, the Liver King is off the throne.
