Are Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Breaking Up? Inside Their Rocky Relationship

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom first met back in 2016. Their chemistry sparked instantly. Fans loved seeing the pop queen and the Hollywood heartthrob together. But their love story wasn’t smooth sailing. By 2017, they had already broken up once. Katy even talked about that split during her 2024 appearance on Call Her Daddy.

They found their way back to each other. In 2019, they got engaged. Later that year, they welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom. Despite years together and a child, they never officially tied the knot.

Now in 2025, it seems like their fairytale may be coming to a close again.

The Rumors Start Swirling

Things started looking shaky in early June. People Magazine published a report on June 9 claiming Katy was stressed about her latest album, 143, not performing well. Her Lifetimes Tour wasn’t getting great reviews either. A source said the backlash had taken a toll on her emotionally. Orlando was being supportive, but the pressure was there.

Then came Page Six on June 10 with something stronger. Their source said it plainly: “It’s over.” The report claimed they were just waiting for her tour to wrap up before going public.

The Space Drama

Oddly enough, a trip to space may have played a role too. Katy joined Blue Origin for a Bezos-backed space mission. Orlando apparently wasn’t thrilled. According to The Sun, he didn’t think it was a good move. He predicted she’d get backlash. He felt it wasn’t worth it.

That argument, paired with Katy’s stress over the album, seems to have caused more strain than fans realized.

Mixed Signals and Speculation

On June 21, The Sun pulled back a bit. Their follow-up said that things weren’t officially over. Sources hinted that Katy and Orlando were having “make-or-break” conversations. So while a breakup wasn’t confirmed, the future looked uncertain.

Just two days later, on June 23, Page Six revealed something interesting. Orlando had flown with their daughter Daisy to see Katy while she was touring in Australia. That sounded hopeful. But then Daily Mail added a twist. Katy had just rented out their Montecito home.

This is the same home she fought hard to win in court. The legal battle involved an 85-year-old veteran. It wasn’t a small effort. She had called that house their dream home, ideal for raising a family. But instead of living in it with Orlando, she’s leasing it to Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger.

That doesn’t sound like a couple planning a future together.

Orlando Bloom at the Bezos Wedding

As if things weren’t already messy, the Jeff Bezos-Lauren Sánchez wedding added another layer. The multiday wedding bash kicked off on June 22. Katy didn’t attend. Her tour runs through December 7, so officially, she had a reason to skip it.

Orlando, though, showed up solo. TMZ leaned into it, saying Bloom was coming in “hot and single” to the wedding. A source said he was ready to hit the dance floor, joking that “90% of the people at the wedding are kinda boring, but 10% are really fun, including Orlando, Leo, and Jeff.”

A solo appearance isn’t confirmation. But when you combine it with everything else, it certainly adds to the buzz.

Perry’s Silence and Strength

Katy Perry hasn’t made a public statement about the split. Neither has Orlando. But if fans are looking for signs, they won’t find them onstage. Perry is known for powering through pain. Her 2012 documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me showed her performing with a smile, even during heartbreak.

That strength hasn’t changed. She’s focused on her tour. And if there’s anything to take from that, it’s that Katy isn’t letting personal drama ruin her momentum.

What’s Next for Them?

Whether they split or find their way back again, only time will tell. They’ve broken up before. They’ve rebuilt before. And they both clearly care deeply about their daughter.

The rumors, the space trip, the album stress, the house rental, and the solo wedding appearance all point toward a rough patch. But it’s still unclear if this is the end or just another pause in their unpredictable love story.

For now, fans are watching, waiting, and hoping.
