Becky G and Manuel Turizo brought undeniable chemistry and sizzling dance moves to the 2025 American Music Awards with their debut live performance of “Qué Haces.” The Latin music power duo lit up the stage, captivating the audience with their playful energy and heartfelt vocals.

How Did the ‘Qué Haces’ Performance Unfold?

The performance opened with a creative split screen showing Becky G kicking things off in a vibrant club setting while Manuel Turizo made his way through the audience. As the music built, the two stars confidently met center stage and sang the catchy tune together, weaving through dancers as they delivered a visually stunning show.

Becky’s sultry Spanish chorus, “Tell me what you’re doing this Friday and the rest of your life/Because I don’t have any plans,” set the mood perfectly. The flirtatious vibe between them was impossible to miss, culminating in a sweet hug from behind and a cheek kiss from Manuel that sent fans swooning.

Becky G’s Big Night: Favorite Female Latin Artist Award

Earlier in the evening, Becky G celebrated her third win as Favorite Female Latin Artist, having previously taken home the trophy in 2020 and 2021. Onstage, she expressed deep gratitude and dedication to her community.

“I am so honored to be in this category and be one of your favorite Latina artists,” Becky said. “I want to dedicate this award to my Chicano community. Honestly, this award wouldn’t be possible without those who came before us, and I know we share in our struggles as well as our wins. Los quiero mucho.”

Her heartfelt words resonated with many, highlighting the pride and unity in her culture and fanbase.

Behind the Scenes: The Making of ‘Qué Haces’

Becky G shared her excitement with Rolling Stone before the show, revealing that the collaboration had been a long time in the making. “We’ve been having so much fun creating together! We can’t wait to bring that same energy to life on stage in Vegas!”

Their chemistry on stage showed just how much joy and passion they poured into the song, making the live debut all the more special.

Becky G’s Journey and Cultural Pride

Back in 2020, when Becky accepted her first Favorite Female Latin Artist award, she reflected on her roots and dreams. “When I first got signed at 14, I did a cover and said, ‘It all started when my grandpa crossed over/Now one day I’m a be a crossover,’ and it’s the same. I still carry that same sentiment, except I don’t have to do the crossover because we are the crossover.”

Her words celebrate the rise of Latino artists in mainstream music, showing how culture and identity continue to shape her powerful journey.
