Cheryl Burke Slams “New Face” Rumors After TikTok Video Sparks Criticism

Cheryl Burke is making headlines again, but this time it’s not for her dance moves. The Dancing with the Stars alum has responded strongly to online speculation about her appearance after a recent TikTok video led some viewers to say she looked “unrecognizable.”

The video, posted about two weeks ago, showed Cheryl getting ready—something she’s done many times before. But this time, the comments were different. People began speculating whether she had undergone plastic surgery or was taking weight-loss drugs like Ozempic. Some even accused her of having a completely “new face.”

Now, Cheryl is setting the record straight. On Sunday, May 18, she posted a direct and heartfelt video calling out the body-shaming and false rumors. “Let’s just address the elephant in the comment section,” she began. From there, she clarified everything people had been guessing about her.

“No, I Didn’t Get a Face Transplant”

In her video, Cheryl spoke plainly and firmly. “I’m not on Ozempic. I’m not sick. I didn’t get a face transplant, and no, I didn’t get a brow lift,” she said.

She also called the online commentary “wild” and said the level of judgment she’s facing is difficult to deal with. What made it worse, she said, is that many of these hurtful comments came from other women.

The 41-year-old, who has been open about her mental health and healing journey in the past, explained that she’s still going through changes in life. “This is me at 41,” she said. “I am still healing, still growing, and still choosing to show up.”

A Powerful Message About Respect and Boundaries

Cheryl didn’t just defend herself—she used the moment to send a broader message. In the caption of her TikTok video, she wrote:

“Stop dissecting women’s bodies like they belong to you. This is YOUR reminder: I don’t owe you an explanation for my healing or for anything quite frankly. Let this be the last time I have to say it.”

She made it clear that those who come to her page to gossip or speculate are not welcome. “If you’re here to compare, demand answers, or judge, this isn’t the space for you,” she said. But she warmly welcomed people who are willing to grow, support, and learn from each other.

Cheryl Burke’s response is a bold stand against the kind of online bullying that many women face. By refusing to stay silent, she reminded everyone that bodies change, healing is personal, and no one owes the internet an explanation.
