Brad Arnold, the lead singer and last remaining founding member of 3 Doors Down, shared emotional news with fans on Wednesday. In a video posted to his Instagram, the 46-year-old opened up about being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

Arnold revealed that he’s battling clear cell renal cell carcinoma, a form of kidney cancer that has spread to his lung. It’s the most common type of kidney cancer, and according to the Cleveland Clinic, it often affects men more than women.
He said the diagnosis came after he went to the hospital feeling unwell a couple of weeks ago. What doctors found was serious. But Arnold didn’t panic.
“I’ve got some not-so-good news for you today,” he told his fans, adding, “I have no fear. I really sincerely am not scared of it at all.”
