Is Garcelle Beauvais Leaving Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Why Is Garcelle Leaving RHOBH?
After five seasons of delivering grace, glamour, and her signature no-nonsense attitude on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Garcelle Beauvais is officially stepping away from the Bravo hit. The actress, author, and producer announced her departure as Season 14 wrapped up—closing the door on an unforgettable chapter of her life, but hinting that she’s far from done with the spotlight.
So, what led to her decision? And could we see her back in the RHOBH universe someday?
Here’s everything fans need to know about why Garcelle is leaving, what’s next, and what she had to say on her way out.
Garcelle Beauvais Announces Her Exit
On Tuesday, Garcelle confirmed that she’s leaving RHOBH via an emotional Instagram video, saying:
“It’s been a wild ride. Some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened. But it’s been a ride nevertheless.”
She signed off with a heartfelt message to fans, co-stars, and production teams, and ended the video with a toast to her future:
“Cheers to the next chapter.”
Beauvais also expressed gratitude to Bravo, NBCUniversal, Andy Cohen, and the RHOBH cast and crew—saying she was proud of her time on the show and grateful for the experience.
Why Is Garcelle Leaving RHOBH?
In her video and a follow-up statement to USA TODAY, Garcelle explained her main reason for stepping away: her family and her flourishing career.
“My primary reason for stepping away is to focus on my sons and my upcoming producing and acting projects,” she said. “This isn’t goodbye—it’s a see you later.”
Her twin sons, Jax and Jaid, are heading into their senior year of high school, and Garcelle emphasized that she wants to be fully present during this pivotal time in their lives.
At the same time, her professional life is ramping up. She hinted at multiple exciting projects in development under Garcelle Beauvais Productions, teasing:
“I am developing, producing, and acting. I can’t tell you anything right now, but you’ll know soon.”
Andy Cohen Says the Door Is Always Open
While this may be a farewell for now, it might not be forever. According to Garcelle, Andy Cohen personally told her that she’s welcome back anytime:
“The door will always be open,” she said, “So you never know—I might pop back in sometime.”
Whether it’s a future cameo, a sit-down for a Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, or a surprise pop-in during a reunion, it’s clear that Garcelle’s exit doesn’t have to be permanent.
From Actress to Reality Icon
When Garcelle joined RHOBH in 2020, she became the first Black woman to hold a diamond in the show’s history. She entered the franchise with an already-impressive résumé—known for roles in The Jamie Foxx Show, NYPD Blue, Coming to America, and countless other film and TV projects.
But surprisingly, Garcelle admitted that no role earned her more attention than her move to Bravo:
“I’ve done amazing things throughout my career… but I’ve never got more attention than the announcement of me joining Beverly Hills,” she told USA TODAY in 2022.
Her sharp intuition, authenticity, and willingness to challenge the status quo made her a fan favorite—and often the moral compass of the show.
What’s Next for Garcelle Beauvais in 2025?
With her production company gaining momentum and her recent memoir Love Me as I Am still making waves, Garcelle is poised for an exciting new era. In 2022, she signed a first-look development deal with NBCUniversal, and she’s quietly been working on several TV and film projects behind the scenes.
She also recently completed a ground-up renovation on her Oxnard beach property, and is focused on her children’s book line, home decor brand, and podcast, Going to Bed with Garcelle.
In short: she’s booked, busy, and just getting started.
The Current RHOBH Cast Post-Garcelle
With Beauvais’ departure, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15 will move forward with returning cast members:
- Kyle Richards
- Erika Jayne
- Dorit Kemsley
- Sutton Stracke
- Bozoma Saint John
Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly have continued making appearances as “friends of the cast,” but Bravo has not yet confirmed if new faces will be added for the next season.
A Classy Exit from a Class Act
After five impactful seasons, Garcelle Beauvais leaves RHOBH on her own terms—with a full slate of projects, a grateful heart, and the kind of grace fans have come to expect from her.
And while she’s stepping away from the diamonds (for now), don’t be surprised if she returns with a sparkle of her own in the near future.
