Greenville, OH: 26-Year-Old Killed in Darke County Apartment Shooting, Roommate Charged With Murder

GREENVILLE, Ohio — A predawn shooting inside a Darke County apartment complex has left one man dead and another facing a murder charge, according to police.

Greenville Police, Darke County Sheriff’s deputies, and medics were called to an apartment in the 1100 block of East Russ Road around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday after reports of gunfire. When crews arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound who died at the scene. He was later identified as 26-year-old James Corcoran.

A second man, 33-year-old Todd Black, was found at the residence and taken into custody without any resistance, according to police.
