Who is Charly Arnolt? The Sportscaster Taking Over UFC and Outkick

Charly Arnolt has become a well-recognized name in sports media, seamlessly transitioning from WWE to ESPN and now carving out her space with Outkick. If you’ve followed professional wrestling, sports commentary, or even UFC, chances are you’ve come across her dynamic personality and sharp reporting skills.

From Indianapolis to the National Stage

Born on July 14, 1987, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Charly Arnolt’s passion for sports was evident from a young age. Despite her Italian-American roots, her heart was set on athletics. As a kid, she dreamed of competing in the Olympics as a gymnast. But like many athletes, injuries steered her towards a different path. She didn’t stop there though—Charly also excelled in softball and volleyball, proving she was a force to be reckoned with.

Height, however, posed a challenge for collegiate volleyball. At 5 feet 2 inches (157 cm), her aspirations to play at the university level were limited. Yet, setbacks often shape resilience, and Charly found her footing in broadcast journalism, graduating summa cum laude from American University in 2010.

Building a Career in Sports Media

Charly’s journey into sports media wasn’t an overnight success. Like many in the industry, she climbed the ladder one local news station at a time. She started in 2010 as a reporter for WSAZ-TV in Huntington, West Virginia, before moving back to Indianapolis to work with WXIN Fox 59 as a freelance reporter.

Her career led her to WDAF-TV Fox 4 in Kansas City, where she continued honing her skills. But Charly’s return to WXIN in 2014 as a sports anchor and reporter solidified her passion for sports broadcasting.

Her big break in entertainment sports came in 2016 when she crossed paths with WWE’s talent team during a SmackDown show in Indianapolis. Thanks to her connection with Tony Khan, co-owner of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Charly was introduced to WWE’s Senior Director of Talent Relations.

Fast forward, and Charly was working under the ring name Charly Caruso, becoming a regular interviewer and backstage host for WWE’s Monday Night RAW and NXT.

ESPN, UFC, and Outkick

By September 2018, Arnolt had made her move to ESPN, giving her even more exposure. She contributed to SportsCenter and became a notable host for their Snapchat content. One of her standout roles was on First Take with Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim, solidifying her place as a credible voice in sports analysis.

In April 2023, Charly surprised fans by parting ways with ESPN to join Outkick, a multimedia platform created by Clay Travis that merges sports, politics, and news. At Outkick, she’s had the freedom to express her views more openly and dive deeper into the world of UFC.

A major milestone came in 2024, when Charly became the first female ring announcer for UFC, replacing the legendary Joe Martinez during his absence. This accomplishment was a testament to her talent and ability to adapt to various sports industries.

Personal Life and Net Worth

At 37 years old, Charly Arnolt has accomplished what many dream of in the broadcasting world. She currently remains unmarried and focused on her career, often spending her free time with close friends and family.

Charly’s dedication to fitness is hard to miss. Standing at 5 feet 2 inches and weighing approximately 50 kg, she’s known to keep up a strict workout regimen, ensuring she’s as physically strong as she is mentally sharp.

As of now, her net worth is estimated to be around $5 million, a result of her extensive work with WWE, ESPN, UFC, and Outkick.

Why Charly Arnolt is Trending

Charly’s career trajectory is inspiring because it highlights the value of versatility and perseverance. From standing in the wrestling ring to calling UFC fights, her ability to adapt is impressive. She represents a new wave of female sportscasters breaking barriers and taking on traditionally male-dominated roles with confidence and skill.

Expect to see more of Charly Arnolt as she continues to expand her influence in the sports media world—her story is far from over.
