Who Is Charlie Kane? Twisted Metal Season 2 Finale Post-Credit Scene Explained

The Season 2 finale of Twisted Metal on Peacock brought the chaos to a wild close — and still left fans buzzing with big questions.

Calypso’s (Anthony Carrigan) brutal “final boss” showdown pushed John (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) to their limits. But the duo survived, and now they’ve found themselves leading a new family preparing for war against Calypso, who has turned the world against them.

And just when it seemed things couldn’t get any crazier, the finale dropped not one but two credit scenes that set up where the story might go next.

Sweet Tooth Meets Charlie Kane

In the mid-credits scene of Episode 10 (“NUY3ARZ”), Sweet Tooth (Joe Seanoa/voiced by Will Arnett) is revealed to still be alive — barely.

He’s chained to the back of a taxi and dragged through the streets, confused until the driver tells him he’s being taken to meet “His Holiness Charlie Kane.”

For longtime fans of the Twisted Metal video games, that name is a big deal. In the original PlayStation game, Charlie Kane appeared in a cutscene after a player completed Story Mode. In the games, Charlie is the son of Marcus Kane (aka Needles Kane/Sweet Tooth) and the brother of Sophie Kane.

The show has flipped the family tree — here Charlie is Sweet Tooth’s father. But the connection remains, and the tease suggests a twisted father-son reunion that could shape the next chapter. Sweet Tooth’s grin at the news makes it clear: dad approves of his carnage.

A Creepy Lab Tease

If you stuck around until the very end of the credits, you caught another chilling tease.

The scene cuts to Dr. Zemu’s (Ken Hall) laboratory, where the groans of a man mix with the squeaks of a giant rat. The setup hints at another experiment from the evil scientist behind the Human Axel Project.

In the Twisted Metal: Head-On game, Zemu alters Axel so he can re-enter the tournament. In return, Axel promises to give Zemu his winning wish.

On the Peacock series, Axel (Michael James Shaw) was introduced in Episode 3 and sacrificed himself in Episode 10. Could this be a hint at his resurrection? Or is Zemu cooking up an entirely new monster by splicing a rat with a human?

What It Means for Season 3

The credits teases point in two directions. Sweet Tooth and Charlie Kane’s reunion promises a deadly new family dynamic. Meanwhile, Zemu’s lab could unleash either Axel’s return or another grotesque fighter.

Either way, Twisted Metal looks set to push the insanity even further if Peacock renews it for Season 3. Fans of the games will recognize the callbacks, while newcomers can expect even more over-the-top mayhem.
