Wednesday Season 2: Pugsley Gets Powers and Bigger Role, Says Isaac Ordonez
If you’ve been craving more Addams Family drama, Netflix is about to deliver. Wednesday is coming back for Season 2, and this time, Pugsley Addams isn’t sitting on the sidelines.
In the first season, Pugsley was kind of just there. Sweet, sensitive, and often the one being saved by Wednesday. He had minimal screen time, and for many fans, he felt more like a background detail than a real character. But according to actor Isaac Ordonez, that’s all about to change.
Isaac Ordonez Teases a “Devious” Pugsley
In a new interview with ScreenRant, Ordonez spilled just enough to get fans excited without giving everything away. He confirmed that Pugsley will have a much bigger role in Season 2 and that we’re going to see him develop into someone a little more complex.
“I really get to mess around with different sides of his character,” he said. “In Season 1, you see his more emotional side, but this season, we get more of his quirky, devious, mischievous side.”
So we’re not just getting more Pugsley. We’re getting a version of him that’s layered and unpredictable. There’s still a hint of that emotional kid from Season 1, but now he’s stepping into something a little darker. A little stranger. A little more Addams.
Pugsley Has Powers Now
And here’s the big twist. Pugsley is getting powers.
Ordonez explained that this new supernatural edge actually earns him a bit of respect from his sister, Wednesday. But let’s not forget who we’re talking about. Wednesday might respect her brother now, but that doesn’t mean she won’t take full advantage of his new abilities.
“She sees him now as a tool she can use for her investigations,” Ordonez said. Sounds about right. That love-hate sibling energy is still very much intact.
Pugsley at Nevermore Academy
Pugsley’s not just tagging along this time. He’s going to Nevermore Academy. And while that might sound exciting, it’s not exactly a smooth ride for him. Ordonez shared that his character feels out of place and lonely at first. He struggles to make friends and figure out where he fits in.
It adds a real human layer to all the supernatural chaos. Yes, he’s got powers. Yes, he’s getting into mischief. But he’s also a kid trying to navigate a new world where he doesn’t fully belong yet.
The Addams Family Returns
Fans of the whole Addams clan will be happy to hear that the rest of the family is coming back too. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán will return as Morticia and Gomez. Uncle Fester, played by Fred Armisen, is back as well.
Wednesday’s school crew also returns. Emma Myers as Enid, Joy Sunday as Bianca, Hunter Doohan as Tyler (yep, the Hyde is still around), Moosa Mostafa as Eugene, Georgie Farmer as Ajax, and more.
There’s no official release date yet, but production has been moving. And if Ordonez’s words are anything to go by, Season 2 is going to show us a new side of the Addams Family. One where Pugsley finally gets the spotlight. And maybe even shakes things up at Nevermore.
