Taylor Swift Announces New Album ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ on Travis Kelce’s Podcast

Taylor Swift just dropped a major surprise for her fans — and she did it in the most unexpected way. In a teaser clip for her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s popular podcast, the pop superstar announced her 12th studio album, titled The Life of a Showgirl. While Swift kept the release date under wraps, excitement among fans is already through the roof.

The Grammy-winning singer is set to appear on Travis’ podcast New Heights this Wednesday, making it her first interview since being named TIME’s Person of the Year in 2023. The show, hosted by Travis and his brother Jason Kelce, teased the big news on Monday morning, saying they were returning from a break early for a “VERY” special guest. The post only showed a silhouette, but Swifties instantly guessed it was Taylor.

Later, a flirty teaser clip confirmed everyone’s suspicions. In the short video, Swift complimented how good Travis looked in blue. “Yes, I know,” he replied, adding, “It’s the color of your eyes, sweetie. It’s why we match so well.” Fans couldn’t contain their excitement in the comments, with messages like “OMG IT’S HAPPENING” and “THE BIGGEST PODCAST IN THE HISTORY OF PODCASTS!!!” flooding in.

This won’t just be another celebrity interview. It’s also a full-circle moment for the couple. Back in 2023, when Swift first spoke publicly about their romance, she revealed it all started when Travis “adorably” mentioned her on his podcast. Soon after, they began dating in secret before making things public when she attended his Kansas City Chiefs game in September that year.

“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for,” Swift told TIME at the time. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think they saw our first date at that game? We would never hard launch a first date.”

Since then, the couple has been inseparable. Travis has been spotted at several of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts — even making a cameo on stage during a London show — while Swift has cheered him on at numerous NFL games, including the 2025 Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The New Heights episode featuring Swift will drop this Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET, and with an album announcement in the mix, fans are already calling it one of the most anticipated podcast episodes ever.
