Sabrina Carpenter Warns ‘Pearl Clutchers’ Ahead of Bold New Album

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter has a warning for fans who might be easily shocked.

The Grammy-winning singer says her new music isn’t for the faint-hearted, especially those who find her bold visuals and lyrics too much to handle.

She made the comments in a preview clip from her upcoming interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings.

“Not for Pearl Clutchers”

King praised the 26-year-old for being unapologetic in her songs, even if they make “some people clutch their pearls.”

Carpenter replied without hesitation: “This album is not for any pearl clutchers.”

But she also added that even those people might secretly enjoy it, saying, “They can listen in their own solitude and find something to smirk at.”

A Bold New Album

Her seventh album, Man’s Best Friend, releases Friday, August 29.

Out of 12 tracks, nine are marked explicit, showing just how daring this project is.

The cover art, featuring Carpenter kneeling on the floor while a hand pulls her blonde hair, has already divided opinions online.

The Stage Persona

Fans of her last record, Short n’ Sweet, already know she’s not shy about being bold on stage.

Her concerts became known for lingerie-inspired costumes, playful crowd interactions, and plenty of cheeky innuendos.

Carpenter has leaned into this fearless image, winning both fans and critics along the way.

The Viral “Juno”

Her song “Juno” has been one of the biggest talking points from her tour.

The track jokes about wanting to get pregnant out of love for her partner, with lyrics like “Wanna try out some freaky positions?”

Performances of the song, complete with fun reenactments of different poses, have gone viral on social media.

Owning the TMI Tag

Carpenter admits she knows her lyrics can feel like “too much information” to some people.

But for her, that honesty is what makes the music connect with young women in the crowd.

“At concerts, I see girls screaming with their best friends, and it feels like a sigh of relief. This is just fun,” she told King.
