Marvel Rivals Season 3: When Does It Drop And What’s New?
Marvel Rivals Season 3 is almost here and players are counting down the minutes. This time the hype’s got some extra spark — a fresh hero, a creepy new map and shorter seasons so you don’t wait ages for new stuff.
NetEase is changing up how they roll these updates out. Season 3 is split in two parts. That means a new hero now and another surprise later. First up? Phoenix. And she’s bringing some serious heat.
When Does Marvel Rivals Season 3 Go Live?
The big moment lands on July 11. But don’t just roll out of bed and expect to jump right in. There’s maintenance first. If you’ve played before, you know the drill. Season 2’s battle pass ends around 4 a.m. EDT. After that, servers go down for about two hours.
If all goes smooth, Season 3 launches at 6 a.m. EDT. Want to know when that is for you? Here’s the breakdown:
- West Coast US: 3 a.m. PDT
- East Coast US: 6 a.m. EDT
- Brazil: 7 a.m. BRT
- UK: 11 a.m. BST
- Central Europe: 12 p.m. CEST
- Japan: 7 p.m. JST
- Australia (East Coast): 8 p.m. AEST
So yeah, set an alarm if you want to be first on the new map.
What’s Coming In Marvel Rivals Season 3?
The star of this update is Jean Grey — better known here as Phoenix. She’s not just another hero in tights. She can fly. She hits hard. She messes up whole groups if you stand too close. She’s going to be a nightmare for Hela mains.
The new map is Klyntar: Celestial Husk. If you know your comics, you know Klyntar means symbiotes. Think Venom. So the map’s got that slimy, alien vibe. The battle pass theme matches. Expect creepy-cool skins for your squad.
Balance tweaks are part of the package too. Iron Man’s ultimate charges slower now. Emma Frost’s diamond form won’t feel so broken. On the flip side, Invisible Woman gets a better heal and The Thing can smack flying heroes out of the sky.
Team-Ups got a shake too. New combos like Ever-Burning Bond — Human Torch and Spider-Man team up for extra damage and a slick Inferno Blast. Phoenix pairs with Wolverine in Primal Flame for more damage and a new Wolverine move.
A couple old combos are gone. So if you liked pairing Spider-Man with Squirrel Girl or Storm with Human Torch for Storming Ignition, time to switch up your strategy.
Oh — and Season 3.5 is coming about a month later. That means another new hero, Blade. NetEase hasn’t dropped his exact release date yet but circle mid-August on your mental calendar.
So get ready. Set your clocks. Charge your mouse. And don’t be surprised when Phoenix swoops in and wrecks your old mains in about five seconds.
