Lord of Mysteries English Sub: Crunchyroll Release Date and Time Revealed
Anime fans have plenty to watch this summer but if there’s one title people keep talking about, it’s Lord of Mysteries. The hype has been building for months. Now Crunchyroll has finally locked in the release date and time for the English sub.
What Time Does Lord of Mysteries Come Out?
Fans who stay up late are in luck. Crunchyroll confirmed that Lord of Mysteries will premiere on Friday, June 27th at 8:00 p.m. PT. If you’re on the East Coast, that means 11:00 p.m. ET.
This is the time for the English sub version. So if you’re waiting for the dub, you’ll need a bit more patience. Crunchyroll says the dub is still “TBA.” But don’t stress too much. The official trailer teased the dub, so odds are it’s dropping soon after the sub version.
What’s This Anime Even About?
If you’ve never heard of Lord of Mysteries, here’s the gist. It’s based on a super popular Chinese web novel by an author called Cuttlefish That Loves Diving. The story pulls you into a dark Victorian-era world packed with steam engines, secret cults, and creepy supernatural stuff.
The main character is Zhou Mingrui. He wakes up in another man’s body. Now he’s Klein Moretti. He’s stuck in a place where people drink potions to unlock powers. But these potions mess with your head. If you’re not careful, you lose your mind.
It’s magic mixed with madness. Churches fight each other. Horrors lurk in the shadows. And Klein walks the line between sanity and chaos.
Why Is Everyone So Obsessed With Lord of Mysteries?
This isn’t your average isekai or fantasy series. Fans love it for its worldbuilding. It feels like something out of Lovecraft, with steampunk vibes thrown in. It’s got mystery, horror, action and plenty of dark twists.
Since the novel dropped in 2018, readers have praised its complex plot and deep lore. If you liked Reverend Insanity or Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, this one should be on your list too.
How Many Volumes Will Be Adapted?
The anime is starting with Volume 1. Tencent Video and B.CMay Pictures are behind it. They’re planning to cover the whole first book. There’s already a second novel called Lord of Mysteries 2: Circle of Inevitability which came out last year. So if all goes well, expect more seasons down the road.
Where Can You Watch It?
Crunchyroll is the place to be. They updated their summer slate quietly but fans caught it quick. So clear your Friday night if you want to catch it as soon as it drops.
If you’re one of those fans who loves both subs and dubs, you might get lucky. The trailer hinted that the English voices won’t be far behind. Just keep an eye on that TBA.
