Loni Anderson’s Children: Where Are Quinton Reynolds & Deidra Hoffman Today?
Loni Anderson, the beloved TV star who passed away on August 3 at the age of 79, was best known for her role as the glamorous receptionist Jennifer Marlowe on WKRP in Cincinnati and her headline-making marriage to Burt Reynolds. But behind the fame and drama, she was also a devoted mother to two children: Quinton Reynolds and Deidra Hoffman.
Deidra Hoffman: Loni’s Daughter Battling MS
Loni’s daughter, Deidra Hoffman, was born during Anderson’s first marriage to Bruce Hasselberg back in the 1960s. Though the marriage didn’t last, Loni and Deidra remained incredibly close throughout the years.
In 2014, the mother-daughter duo appeared on The Doctors, where they opened up about a life-changing diagnosis. Deidra had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis five years earlier after experiencing a mini-stroke while blow-drying her hair. A hospital MRI confirmed the diagnosis.
“I diagnosed myself years before with just stress,” Deidra said on the show. “I had lots of symptoms that I ignored. I was a mom, I worked full-time. I didn’t have time for everything that was happening to me. The diagnosis stopped me in my tracks.”
Now known as Deidra Hoffman, she lives a quieter life away from the spotlight. According to IMDb, she is married and has four children of her own. Back in 2008, she was described by the Minneapolis Star-Tribune as a “California school principal.”
Quinton Reynolds: Adopted Son with Burt Reynolds
Quinton Reynolds came into Loni’s life during her high-profile relationship with Burt Reynolds. The couple adopted him as an infant in 1988, shortly before tying the knot. Their marriage fell apart in 1993, and the divorce was anything but civil.
During the split, Reynolds accused Anderson of being unfit to raise Quinton, while she alleged he was battling addiction and had been abusive. Despite the bitter breakup, it was Quinton who walked Loni down the aisle when she married folk singer Bob Flick in 2008.
Quinton has kept a low profile over the years but has quietly built a career in Hollywood. According to his IMDb page, he works in the camera and electrical department and has contributed to multiple film and television productions.
A Family That Meant Everything to Her
While Loni Anderson lived a life in the public eye, her greatest joys came from her family. In addition to her children, she leaves behind grandchildren Megan and McKenzie, stepson Adam, and step-grandchildren Felix and Maximilian.
Despite the personal hardships, health struggles, and public scrutiny, Loni was remembered as a devoted mom and grandmother. She supported her daughter through a difficult health journey and remained close with her son even after a very public divorce.
As her longtime manager Steve Sauer said after her passing, “She was the ultimate working mother. Family first … and maintained a great balance with her career.”
Loni Anderson may be gone, but her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and the millions who admired her strength, style, and unforgettable presence on screen.
