Kick streamer Amaris, better known as Xena The Witch, was arrested live on stream after allegedly shooting a paintball at a bystander during a scavenger hunt in Austin, Texas.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, the incident took place on August 9 during a $30,000 scavenger hunt organized by fellow Kick streamer Ice Poseidon. The event saw multiple streamers carrying and firing paintball guns as part of the challenge.
The Arrest Caught on Camera
Clips circulating on X (formerly Twitter) show police arresting Xena and placing her in a van as onlookers protested, saying she “didn’t do anything.” One of the videos, shared by user @Awk20000, quickly went viral, sparking heated debate online.
What Happened During the Stream
Footage from the event shows Xena and other participants allegedly firing paintballs at strangers on the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail. At one point, she reportedly hit a woman on the thigh. When another streamer pointed out that the person she hit was “a real worker,” Xena can be heard replying, “I don’t give a f**.”*
The Austin American-Statesman reported that the streamer showed no remorse for the incident, further fueling backlash from viewers and the public.
Past Controversies
This isn’t the first time Xena The Witch has faced trouble on Kick. In 2024, she was temporarily banned for three days after allegedly holding a South Korean streamer during a livestream and engaging in violent behavior.
Public Reaction and Safety Concerns
While some fans defended Xena’s actions as part of the scavenger hunt, many criticized her for reckless behavior and for dismissing the impact on bystanders. The use of paintball guns in public parks has also drawn scrutiny, with questions raised about participant safety and the legality of such activities.
As of now, it’s unclear if Kick will take further action against the streamer or if she will face additional legal consequences following her arrest.
