Justin Timberlake Slammed for ‘Lazy’ Performance at Romania Festival – Fans Demand Refunds
Justin Timberlake is facing heavy backlash from fans after a disappointing performance at Romania’s Electric Castle festival, where many accused the pop star of barely singing during his set.
Fans Call Out Timberlake’s Stage Presence
In videos shared online, Timberlake can be seen encouraging the audience to sing along while he walks across the stage and occasionally dances, but rarely sings himself.
“When you pay for a concert but get a mute singer,” one frustrated fan wrote on TikTok, sharing a clip from the show. Another joked, “Dude took a day off on stage…”
The criticism quickly snowballed in the comments section.
- “So y’all went to karaoke?” one fan quipped.
- “This performance could’ve been an email,” another joked.
- “It looks like he doesn’t even care,” one user complained.
- “So basically u paid ur ticket to listen to urself,” another added.
- “I would 100% request a refund,” another fan commented.
Fox News Digital reported that Timberlake’s representatives have yet to comment on the controversy.
Part of His World Tour
Timberlake’s Romania show is part of the European leg of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour. His next stops include Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.
However, the tour has already faced challenges. Just last month, the 43-year-old singer’s career made headlines for the wrong reasons after he was arrested for DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) in June 2024.
Timberlake’s Legal Trouble
The former *NSYNC star pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of “driving while ability impaired” and was sentenced to community service. As part of his plea deal, Timberlake gave a public apology and delivered a drunk-driving PSA, urging fans to make safe choices.
“Even if you’ve had one drink, don’t get behind the wheel of a car,” Timberlake said following his court appearance. “There are so many alternatives. Call a friend, take an Uber, or grab a taxi.”
