Injustice 3 Leak May Have Just Confirmed the Roster – And Fans Are Losing It

If you’ve been itching for the next chapter in the Injustice saga, you’re not alone—and recent leaks suggest the wait may almost be over. Thanks to a couple of eagle-eyed fans and some very chatty voice actors, Injustice 3 might have just been unofficially confirmed… along with the first few returning characters.

And yes, if this all sounds familiar, it’s because it is. Just like with the Persona 4 remake earlier this year, it looks like voice actors are once again spilling the beans before the studio can.

Superman and Green Lantern? Leaked by Their Voice Actors

Here’s how it went down: Popular YouTuber Dynasty shared that fellow content creator Brendan Borrow had a chance encounter with actor George Newbern, best known to DC fans as the voice of Superman in Injustice 2. During their chat, Newbern casually mentioned he was working on Injustice 3. Brendan even provided photo evidence to back up the claim.

Not wild enough yet? Just wait.

Another user on X (formerly Twitter), @DannySoul0, revealed that he heard the exact same thing from Phil LaMarr, who voiced Green Lantern in the previous game. And guess what—he has photo proof too.

So… Is Injustice 3 Officially Happening?

Not officially. NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. have stayed completely silent. But given that two major voice actors are now linked to recording lines for the same game, it’s hard to chalk this up to coincidence. Especially since Injustice 3 rumors have been floating around for years.

Fans expected a reveal back in 2021, continuing NetherRealm’s alternating release pattern (Injustice 2 in 2017, Mortal Kombat 11 in 2019). But instead, the studio went off script, skipping a 2021 release entirely and finally dropping Mortal Kombat 1 in 2023.

That delay only amped up speculation. And now, the whispers feel more real than ever.

When Could Injustice 3 Actually Release?

Let’s break down the math.

  • Injustice 2 dropped in 2017
  • Mortal Kombat 11 followed in 2019
  • Mortal Kombat 1 hit in 2023

By that rhythm, fans expected Injustice 3 in either 2021 or 2025. But with 2025 nearly over and no trailer or official announcement, that seems unlikely.

Still, there’s hope.

Voice actors typically come in late in the development cycle, meaning if Newbern and LaMarr are doing their work now, Injustice 3 could be nearly finished. That lines up with comments from studio head Ed Boon, who previously hinted that their next big game has been in development since the early 2020s.

So the most likely window? 2026—with a reveal potentially coming in early 2025.

Unless, of course, they’re planning a surprise announcement out of nowhere. (Hey, it’s happened before.)

The Injustice We’ve Been Waiting For?

It’s been seven years since the last Injustice game. With modern fighting games making huge leaps (Mortal Kombat 1, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8), fans are expecting big upgrades—both in gameplay and storytelling.

The question now is: Which characters are coming back, and how many new DC heroes and villains will make their debut?

If Superman and Green Lantern are confirmed, could we also see the return of fan-favorites like Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, or Supergirl? Could newer characters from the DC universe—like Blue Beetle or Peacemaker—finally join the fight?

And what about the storyline? Injustice 2 left things open with alternate endings, so where the narrative goes next is still anyone’s guess.

Final Thoughts: A Leak That Might Just Be Legit

Until NetherRealm Studios makes it official, this is still technically a rumor. But let’s be real—when two separate voice actors let the same info slip, it feels like more than just speculation.

So while we wait for confirmation, fans are already debating rosters, dream matchups, and new gameplay mechanics.

Could 2026 be the year Injustice returns? All signs point to yes. And if these leaks are real, we might not have to wait much longer to find out.
