Happy Gilmore 2 Putter and Golf Balls: Limited Edition Release Details

If you’re a die-hard Happy Gilmore fan, this one’s going to hit you right in the nostalgia. After nearly three decades, Odyssey is releasing a real-life version of the legendary hockey stick putter made famous in the original film. And yes, it’s tied to the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2 sequel.

For those who remember every slap-shot, fistfight, and “tap it in” moment, this is not just a product release. It’s a throwback to one of the most quoted golf comedies ever made.

Odyssey’s limited-edition Hockey Stick putter is inspired by the one Adam Sandler’s character used in the film’s final scenes. You remember that scene—Happy going head-to-head with Shooter McGavin, trying to sink the final putt with pure chaos around him. That’s the one.

What makes the new putter so different?

This isn’t your average golf store putter. At 44 inches long with a 57˚ lie angle, it leans way closer to a driver than anything you’d see on a pro’s putting green. It’s specifically designed for Happy’s slap-shot putting style. If you’ve ever tried it on a mini-golf course, you know exactly what we mean.

It features Odyssey’s famous White Hot insert in the primary hitting area. That alone makes it worth a swing. Plus, it’s got two extra inserts on the heel and toe for balance. Add a 21-inch grip and it’s basically built for someone looking to cause a little chaos on the green.

But don’t go thinking you can sneak it into a PGA tour event. Callaway already confirmed the putter is non-conforming under the official Rules of Golf. Still, nothing’s stopping you from bringing it to your local course and channeling your inner Happy.

What’s the deal with the golf balls?

Alongside the putter, Callaway’s also dropping a special edition box of Chrome Tour balls. These aren’t just your everyday balls either. Each one is decorated with iconic phrases from the movie like “Just tap it in” and “It’s all in the hips.” The design even includes hockey-themed graphics, giving them that extra Happy Gilmore touch.

These are the same balls that will be featured in Happy Gilmore 2, so if you’re trying to live out your movie dreams on the course, you’ve now got the full set.

They even threw in a custom tube sock headcover with Happy’s name stitched into it. It’s a direct nod to the character and one more reason fans will want to grab this while it lasts.

Nick McInally, Callaway’s VP of global marketing, put it best. “It’s exciting to be part of one of the most iconic golf franchises.”
