Arnold Schwarzenegger Talks ICE Protests and His Son’s Bold Role
Arnold Schwarzenegger was all smiles at the Season 2 premiere of his Netflix series Fubar, but he had more than just his own show on his mind. The 77-year-old actor took a moment to shout out his son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, for his performance in The White Lotus. But the former governor also admitted he got caught off guard by one part of Patrick’s role — the nude scenes.
“It was very funny because he didn’t tell us about it and it was a big surprise,” Arnold said with a laugh while talking to Access Hollywood. “So, when I watched his show, and obviously I had not watched those scenes, it was kind of like ‘Woah, woah, woah.’” Still, the proud dad added, “It was great.”
Arnold shares thoughts on California ICE protests
Schwarzenegger also spoke out on the ICE protests happening across California. He didn’t pick sides, but made it clear what he wants to see — action and teamwork.
“I hope that the locals and the state and the federal government work together,” he said. “That the democrats and the republicans work together to solve this issue because I think we need immigration reform.”
He stressed that progress is possible if leaders are willing to collaborate. “If there’s a will there’s a way,” he said. “I just encourage them to work this out.”
New season of ‘Fubar’ drops
Season 2 of Fubar starts streaming June 12 on Netflix. So, fans of Arnold’s action-comedy comeback have something to look forward to, along with his signature mix of serious commentary and lighthearted family moments.
