Andrew Tate Fires Back After Lauren Southern Accuses Him in Memoir
Andrew Tate is once again at the center of controversy after Lauren Southern named him in her new memoir. In an explosive chapter she released online, Southern claimed Tate sexually assaulted her at a hotel in 2018 after a night out in Romania.
She says she was intoxicated, confused, and never consented to what happened. Tate, on the other hand, wasted no time jumping on X to dismiss her claims and accuse her of chasing attention for book sales.
What Did Lauren Southern Say Happened That Night?
In the excerpt posted on her Substack, Southern described a business trip to Romania. She met up with Tate and others, including activist Tommy Robinson. When the rest of the group didn’t show, she and Tate ended up alone.
She admits she was heavily intoxicated and said she made a poor judgment call by returning to her hotel room with him. At first, she thought he was just a friend of a friend. That gave her a false sense of safety.
She recalled kissing him briefly, then pulling away, asking to sleep. That’s when things escalated.
According to Southern, Tate ignored her repeated “no’s” and began strangling her into unconsciousness. Every time she came to, she says he strangled her again. The description is harrowing. She chose not to share more details but made it very clear that what happened wasn’t consensual.
She also noted that she tried reporting the incident to police in the UK and Canada. Both said they couldn’t pursue the case because it happened in Romania. She says she was later contacted by U.S. investigators and gave them her account privately.
How Did Andrew Tate Respond to the Allegations?
Tate went online almost immediately. He mocked Southern on X, calling her a “drug addict” and suggesting her story was fake and only shared to promote her memoir.
He claimed she had previously begged to see him again and even asked for money for her business. “Was 10 years ago. Needs book sales I guess,” he wrote.
He also threatened to release texts he says show her reaching out to him after the alleged assault. But as of now, he hasn’t shared anything publicly.
Tate is already under investigation in multiple countries for serious crimes, including rape and human trafficking. He denies all charges and continues to post defiantly on social media.
Southern, known for her far-right past, said clearly that she didn’t want Tate’s name to be seen as a headline-grabbing tactic. She even added a note telling readers not to buy her book if they were only there for the Tate story. “You won’t find anything more significant about him,” she wrote.
Still, the internet erupted once her post was shared. And with both Tate and Southern being polarizing figures in their own right, the public reaction has been intense.
