Alien: Earth Trailer Unleashes Xenomorph Horror on Our Planet
FX just dropped the official trailer for Alien: Earth, and it’s already sending chills down spines. For the first time ever, the terrifying Xenomorph makes its way to Earth, raising the stakes in a way fans of the franchise have never seen. The series is a prequel set in 2120, just two years before the original Alien movie timeline. And this time, it’s not happening in deep space—it’s happening in our own backyard.
A Crash-Landed Ship Brings Death With It
The show kicks off when the USCSS Maginot, a mysterious research ship, crash-lands on Earth. What it brings with it is pure nightmare fuel. The trailer teases five alien life forms retrieved from the darkest corners of space, and one of them is explicitly described as “predatory.” That alone is enough to raise eyebrows, especially among fans who suspect a crossover with another deadly creature from the same universe—the Predator.
A Hybrid Hero at the Center of It All
Sydney Chandler plays Wendy, the first human-consciousness-infused synthetic, created by Prodigy Corporation. She’s not fully human, not fully robot, but caught in the middle of a world on the brink of collapse. As a hybrid, she becomes the center of a deadly conflict, not just between humans and aliens, but between competing mega-corporations, rogue synthetics, and the unknown creatures unleashed by the Maginot.
Big Names, Big Stakes, Big Terror
The cast is stacked with talent. Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, and Samuel Blenkin join Chandler in the chaos. Ridley Scott is back as executive producer, with Fargo creator Noah Hawley steering the ship. The trailer promises tight, claustrophobic tension, unsettling sci-fi visuals, and intense action.
Alien: Earth premieres August 12, 2025, with the first two episodes airing at 8 PM on FX. Episodes will also stream weekly on Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally.
