The Baldwins are heading west! Hilaria Baldwin has officially joined Dancing With the Stars Season 34, marking a big Hollywood move for the yoga instructor and author, along with her husband Alec Baldwin and their seven kids.

“I’m bringing everybody,” Hilaria told USA Today. “We just decided to do something crazy and that we’d all go to LA.”

The announcement was made during the Season 34 cast reveal on September 3, and while TLC has yet to renew The Baldwins reality show, all eyes will now be on Hilaria’s new dancing journey.

Who’s Dancing in DWTS Season 34?

Hilaria Baldwin, 41, will be competing without reality TV cameras but definitely not without attention. The fresh lineup is packed with names from across sports, entertainment, and social media.

Joining Baldwin are Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, former NBA star Baron Davis, child-actor-turned-musician Corey Feldman, Zac Efron’s brother Dylan Efron, comedian Andy Richter, and Parent Trap actress Elaine Hendrix.

Hilaria has been passionate about dance since childhood, even competing with New York University’s ballroom team before switching her focus to yoga. Fans began speculating about her DWTS debut after she shared TikTok videos of ballroom-inspired routines featuring Alec Baldwin’s “work-in-progress” dance moves.

According to Hilaria, those videos unexpectedly opened the door to ABC producers. “It’s a kind of mystical journey that got me here,” she explained. “I was just having fun, and suddenly, here I am.”

For years, Alec encouraged her to consider DWTS. But Hilaria worried her dance background might actually keep her from being selected. “I didn’t know if I belonged in this space,” she admitted. “I’ve got a lot of experience. Is that a problem? Apparently it’s not.”

Baldwin has been paired with pro dancer Gleb Savchenko. While her ballroom skills give her an edge, she admits there are challenges. Her expertise is mostly Latin dance, and she hasn’t performed seriously since suffering a hip injury 16 years ago.

“I closed the door on that part of my life,” she said. “Then I focused on yoga, met Alec, and we had kids. My body is different now.”

She also faces the challenge of winning over DWTS voters. The Baldwins have been under heavy scrutiny in recent years, especially after Alec Baldwin’s involvement in the fatal 2021 Rust shooting. But Hilaria insists she isn’t competing to silence critics. “Everybody has their critics. If you go through life trying to prove things to people, you’re missing the point,” she said.
