Hayley Williams Drops Final Version of Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party

Hayley Williams has officially released the final sequenced version of her new album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party.

The 17-track project originally appeared in July in a scrambled rollout across her website and streaming platforms. Now, the official version includes all of those songs plus a brand-new track titled Parachute.

The album was produced entirely by Daniel James, with Williams writing, performing, and recording much of it herself. Brian Robert Jones, Joey Howard, and Jim-E Stack (True Believer) also contributed to the record.

A Unique Rollout

Fans first got their hands on Ego Death in July through a surprise drop linked to her Good Dye Young hair dye company.

An access code revealed a hidden page featuring 17 new tracks along with behind-the-scenes goodies like lyric book images, performance clips, and merch previews.

Though Williams took the songs down after 24 hours, she later uploaded them to streaming services individually, each with its own artwork. Fans quickly began building their own playlists — even creating a dedicated site, hayleysingles.com.

Fans Inspired the Tracklist

Seeing the different fan-made playlists inspired Williams to create the official sequence of Ego Death.

Over the past month, she’s dropped videos for the title track, Glum, and Kill Me, which was filmed in a garden.

Physical Release Details

Pre-orders for physical editions of Ego Death begin today ahead of the official release on November 7.

Vinyl lovers will have plenty of options: the record will be available in standard black, “Zissou Clear-Wave,” and six additional colors including Highlighter Yellow, Marble Yellow, Orange Juice Splash, Crystal Clear, Grayscale Metallic Silver, and Poolwater Wave.

A special “Ego Gold Marble” vinyl will only be sold at retailers in Williams’ home state of Tennessee. Meanwhile, 1,500 limited CD-Rs are already up for immediate shipping via her website.
