Bunnies Abandoned in Brooklyn Park After Anna Delvey Photoshoot

Anna Delvey — the infamous scammer-turned-socialite — is caught up in an unexpected controversy involving a group of homeless rabbits.

Over the weekend, Delvey took part in a photoshoot that featured her walking bunnies on leashes. She even shared behind-the-scenes shots on Instagram. But just hours later, a concerned Brooklyn resident posted photos online of the same rabbits wandering around Prospect Park, sparking outrage.

It didn’t take long for social media sleuths to connect the dots. The bunnies in the park matched the ones from Delvey’s shoot.

According to reports, the shoot was put together by a small, informal group — including Delvey, photographer Jasper Soloff, a hair stylist, and a friend — with no clear leader in charge. Soloff, who has worked with stars like Dove Cameron, Tinashe, Pamela Anderson, and Billie Eilish, came up with the idea of Delvey walking rabbits down West Broadway.

Instead of hiring professional animal wranglers, someone in the group apparently found free rabbits being given away online in Yonkers. After the shoot wrapped, no one seemed to know what to do with them. One person later admitted they tried to return the rabbits but couldn’t reach the original owner. Panicking, they released them in the park, mistakenly thinking there were already wild rabbits living there.

Delvey told Page Six, “I do not eat meat, and I had no involvement in the acquisition, transport, or return of these animals. I would never condone these actions.” Messages reviewed by the outlet suggest she only saw the rabbits for the first time when picked up for the shoot and had no reason to think they wouldn’t be cared for afterward.

An attorney for Soloff also stressed his client’s innocence. “This was not Jasper’s photoshoot,” said lawyer Gary Adelman. “He had no knowledge or input as to how the bunnies were obtained or what happened to them after the shoot. Thankfully, the bunnies are safe and being cared for. Jasper is a huge animal lover and would never harm an animal.”

The rabbits are now being fostered, safe from further harm.

And while this real-life drama has ended well for the furry models, it’s already sparked jokes online about how it could be the perfect plot for an animated movie — suburban rabbits turned high-fashion stars navigating the wild streets of New York before finding a happy ending.
