Demi Lovato Rumored to Join Jonas Brothers at MetLife, Fans Hope for ‘Camp Rock 3’

The Jonas Brothers launched their JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown tour on Saturday, August 10, at East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium — but it’s not just their setlist that has fans talking.

Social media is buzzing with unconfirmed claims that Demi Lovato was spotted — or at least heard — doing a soundcheck with the band earlier in the day. The whispers have immediately sparked one big question online: could a Camp Rock 3 reunion be on the cards?

Fans on X believe Lovato may have reached a deal with Disney to reprise her role as Mitchie Torres, with a new sequel to the beloved Disney Channel franchise in the works. If true, it would be the first Camp Rock film since 2010’s Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, and would reportedly take place around 15 years after the events of the second movie.

While Disney hasn’t confirmed anything yet, speculation is in overdrive. Lovato recently refollowed the Jonas Brothers on Instagram — a move many see as a subtle hint. If the project goes ahead, it would reunite Lovato with Nick, Joe, and Kevin on screen for the first time since their Disney Channel days.

From Disney Co-Stars to Years Apart

Lovato and the Jonas Brothers first became friends during their Disney era, starring together in Camp Rock, touring, and working on Lovato’s debut album. Their bond stayed strong through career highs and personal challenges — including the Jonas Brothers’ breakup and Lovato’s own struggles. At one point, Nick even joined Lovato on tour during a break in his solo career.

But by 2018, signs of distance began to show. Following Lovato’s overdose that year and the Jonas Brothers’ big comeback, public appearances together became rare. Lovato also skipped both Nick and Joe’s weddings. Since then, they’ve kept their friendship largely out of the spotlight.

Now, with the Jonas Brothers back on tour and rumors of a Disney reunion swirling, fans are daring to dream that Mitchie and Shane could once again share the stage — both in a new movie and perhaps in a surprise live performance.
