Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Frontman Ronnie Winter Bans Trump Supporters from Shows

Ronnie Winter is not holding back. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus frontman has made it crystal clear in a new Instagram video that Donald Trump supporters are not welcome at his shows. “If you voted for Donald Trump, do not come to my shows — forever,” he said. “You’re going to hear a lot of woke propaganda and the actual words of Jesus.”

This wasn’t just a one-off rant. Winter sounds fed up. He says the backlash from conservative fans since he first spoke up in 2020 hasn’t changed his stance at all. “You’re just going to see a lot of harmony,” he added. “That’s not what you’re about. Refunds are available. Forever, don’t come. Goodbye.”

No Apologies for Staying Woke

Ronnie kicks off the video with a quick PSA, saying he was already clear about his views back in 2020. He points out that he never deleted any of his posts from what some called his “Stay Woke” campaign. “The thing about being woke is, you’re awake. And once you’re awake, you can never go to sleep,” he said.

He doubled down on his views, stating that everything “woke people” warned about had come true. And he believes Trump supporters have only proven that point.

Religion, Unity, and the Message of Jesus

Winter identifies as a Christian. But he says the version of Christianity he lives by is one rooted in love and inclusion. “If you’re a Christian and you voted for Donald Trump, shame on you,” he said bluntly. “You are not allowed to come to my shows.”

He even called out fans who love the band’s biggest hit, “Face Down,” saying, “It’s not your song.” The track, from their 2006 album Don’t You Fake It, is still their most well-known, with 5x platinum status.

A Tour with a Message

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is currently on tour across North America. They recently streamed a Warped Tour set with Amazon Music and are set to play in Long Beach on July 26.

This isn’t new territory for Winter. In a 2020 interview with Alternative Press, he spoke out on racism and homophobia, saying the LGBTQ community had long been mistreated by some in the Christian world. He wants to change that.

“I want to unite everybody,” he said. “That unity is God.”
