MIDLAND, Mich. — Nicole Wilson has been hired as the new Vice President of Economic Development for the Midland Business Alliance. Ms. Wilson started her new job on March 2. She was previously a community development planner for the City of Midland.

“I’m excited to get into the work of retaining and growing businesses already invested in Midland and attracting new businesses that add to the fabric of our community,” she told the City Paper. “By retaining and attracting the right mix of businesses we can continue to build a community that then retains and attracts creative and skilled talent.”

A Midland native, Ms. Wilson has a degree in Urban & Regional Planning from Western Michigan University. Previously, she served as a program manager for Momentum Midland of the Michigan Baseball Foundation, and she also worked for the Midland Area Community Foundation.
